Graduate Student (PhD)
Tracy Chukwuma
I am a Ph.D student with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Nigeria.
My primary interest is to improve characterization of geologic carbon sequestration systems to ensure safe and long-term CO2 storage. In particular, my research work involves advanced high-resolution X-ray micro-CT and SEM data analysis and hybrid pore-scale and continnum-scale modeling of reactive flow and transport processes in geologic CO2 storage systems.
When I’m not working I enjoy reading novels and webtoons, traveling, watching movies, and listening to music, and if there’s enough incentive I might also sing and dance!
Graduate Student (MS)
Kwaku Asiedu
I am a second-year Master's student, with a bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
I am interested in water resource investigations, applying the use of both surface and borehole geophysical and hydrological techniques. As a research assistant, I have been working on two different but related projects: “Hydrogeophysical Investigation of the Claiborne Aquifer using Borehole Geophysical Logging Techniques” and my master's thesis on “Imaging Subsurface Fracture Characteristics using Electrical Resistivity Tomography Technique”. Outside work, I love playing soccer and video games.
Graduate Student (PhD)
Luqman Olawale
I am a PhD student with a Bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences from Osun State University, Nigeria, and a Master's degree in Geology from Kansas State University, USA.
My research interests center on advancing the study of fluid flow and transport in geomaterials, with specific applications in energy and hydrogeology.
Outside of my academic work, I enjoy playing soccer and adventure traveling, and I’m also developing a hobby in swimming.

Graduate Student (MS)
Raymond Aderoju
I am a first-year Master's student in the Geology program. I hold a Bachelor of Technology degree in Applied Geology from the Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria.
My research interests focus on developing hybrid models that integrate numerical models with machine learning techniques to predict the behavior of multiphase flows (CO2 and water) and transport in complex porous media.
In my free time I enjoy playing soccer and tennis, which keeps me active and helps me relax.
